A Bus Ministry driver has a passion for organizing things, helping those in need, and being committed to at least 2 hours/week and/or at discretion of the ministry leader, and per occasion (not inclusive of training).
Bus Driver responsibilities are distributed among several servants. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from church-related and church-sponsored activities, events, and services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Shuttle seniors from nursing home to church and back on Sundays.
- Provide transportation of various groups to special church-sponsored events.
- Pick up neighborhood children and adults without transportation for church services, events, and activities.
- Prepare items for pickup or assist with selection of needed items.
- Maintain clean and functional transportation.
- All Transportation members are responsible for upkeep of the church bus.
- Report all maintenance issues to the Trustee Board for appropriate repairs.
- CDL’s are not a requirement, but all drivers must attend scheduled training and meetings.
